Nick Clegg

Well 31 (-1) 65 5 75
Badly 60 (+5) 26 92 23

The tables show the latest leadership approval rating from YouGov which we publish in this detail every week. There is a view that these can be a better guide to election outcomes than the standard voting intention figures, as we saw strikingly in 1992.

As can be seen David Cameron continues to do better amongst Lib Dem voters than Nick Clegg. And even after a traumatic week the Lib Dem leader has better numbers from his party supporters than Ed Miliband does with Labour ones.

Two other pollsters do regular surveys on leader approval in a standardised manner and hopefully we should have some data in the next week.

Today on PB: I’ve off to a family gathering and Jonathan’s regular Sunday Slot will be appearing later. I plan to do a more reflective piece on the various polling developments early next week.
