The Labour Deputy Leader race is a five horse race

Creasy, Bradshaw and Eagle join Flint & Watson on the ballot paper

I wonder if the biggest effect of this will be a boost for Sadiq Khan, as all the main leader/deputy leader contenders being white, as the following twitter exchange featuring the New Statesman’s Stephen Bush shows.

Out of the deputy leader contenders, I’ve always been impressed by Stella Creasy and her campaign against PayDay lenders, but will that appeal to Labour supporters? I suspect that will not impress as much as the Tom Watson’s achievement, such as his campaign on phone hacking, and to a less extent his help in toppling Tony Blair.

Labour might be wise to listen to Ben Bradshaw, as he might share to the wider Labour movement on how they can win in Southern England in areas that aren’t in London, as for Angela Eagle and Caroline Flint, I think the odds reflect their chances of winning.

Ladbrokes have opened up a market on the Leader/Deputy Double.

Doubles

I’ve spent the last couple of hours looking at this market, and I’ve still not worked out which is the value option, I’m sure PBers will find the value. The market is available here.

And a warning for the Tories4Corbyn.
