Which company do you rate most in the high-tech world?

A slightly different poll for Easter Monday

A very common form of questioning in US polling which we hardly see in the UK is the favourable/unfavourable format. This has become the standard for candidate ratings and here the ABC/Washington Post survey applies it to high-tech companies.

That Google has a slight edge over Apple is interesting – I’d have guessed the other way round particularly following the row over data confidentiality. It is sometimes quite scary to realise how much the Google people know about each of us.

I have a Google-based Android phone and a tablet, use Gmail for my email, Google calendar synched across a number of devices for my diary as well as using Google maps on my phone for GPS navigation.

Most surprising to me is the poor rating for Twitter – which I regard as an absolute essential. I’ve never really got into Facebook.
